GLP-2
A dual-receptor research peptide
GLP-2 in the Resolve catalog is a dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist. Rather than targeting one incretin receptor, it is built to engage two: the GLP-1 receptor and the receptor for glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). Both are hormones released from the gut after nutrients arrive, and both influence insulin release from the pancreas through separate receptors.
Why two receptors
Researchers became interested in dual agonism after studies suggested that GIP and GLP-1 signaling might complement each other in some models. A single molecule that reaches both receptors lets investigators examine that interaction without mixing two separate peptides. How the receptors balance each other, and how that balance varies by tissue, is still being worked out.
Research settings
Dual GLP-1/GIP agonists have been investigated in rodent models of metabolism, in pancreatic islet and adipocyte cell culture, and in receptor-signaling assays. They are commonly studied next to single-receptor GLP-1 and triple-receptor GLP-3 agonists, both available from Resolve, to see how each added receptor changes the outcome.
Picking a vial
The grid shows four strengths of the same lyophilized GLP-2 peptide: 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg and 30 mg per vial. The peptide is identical across them; only total content changes. Teams planning a multi-week series often prefer a larger vial so every run uses the same lot, while a 5 mg vial is a sensible place to begin method work.
Diluent is not included. Bacteriostatic water is listed separately.
Lot documentation
Read the lot number on the label and open the matching certificate from COA / Lab Reports, checking that it shows the same vial strength. Certificates are being published in stages, and our team can help if a lot is not shown yet; include the order number when you write.
Resolve supplies GLP-2 for laboratory research; it is not for human use.
