GLP-1
GLP-1 at Resolve BioLabs
GLP-1 is our name for a single-receptor incretin-class research peptide. It is designed to act on the GLP-1 receptor, a G-protein-coupled receptor found on pancreatic beta cells, in the gut and in parts of the brain. Native glucagon-like peptide-1 is released by intestinal L-cells after a meal, but it is broken down within minutes; research analogs in this class are modified to persist far longer so the receptor can be studied in a stable way.
The research picture
GLP-1 receptor agonists have been investigated extensively in cell systems and animal models. Topics include glucose-dependent insulin secretion, gastric emptying, appetite-related signaling in the hypothalamus and beta-cell survival in culture. Because this class acts through only one receptor, it serves as a reference point when researchers compare it with dual and triple agonists. Resolve also lists GLP-2 (GLP-1/GIP) and GLP-3 (GLP-1/GIP/glucagon) for that kind of comparison.
Five vial strengths
All products in the grid are the same lyophilized GLP-1 peptide. They differ only by the amount in each vial:
- 5 mg
- 10 mg
- 15 mg
- 20 mg
- 30 mg
Smaller vials suit pilot work and method development. Larger vials let a longer study draw on one lot instead of several, which keeps the material consistent across runs. Whichever you choose, the vial label states total content so concentration calculations start from a known figure.
Reconstitution supplies
Vials ship as freeze-dried powder without diluent. Bacteriostatic water is available on its own page.
Certificate of analysis
Each GLP-1 lot is tied to its own certificate of analysis. Compare the lot code on your vial with the matching entry in COA / Lab Reports, and confirm that the strength listed is the one you ordered, since five sizes exist. New entries are added as certificates are released.
GLP-1 is supplied by Resolve for laboratory research use only.
