Description
Semax is a short synthetic peptide first developed by Russian researchers as a stabilized analog of a corticotropin (ACTH) fragment. Its seven residues pair the ACTH(4-7) sequence with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro tail, a modification intended to slow enzymatic breakdown while removing the hormonal activity of the parent molecule. That combination has made it a recurring subject in neuropeptide research for several decades.
Where Semax appears in the literature
Published work on Semax has largely come from cell culture and rodent studies. Investigators have looked at it in several contexts:
- Animal models of cerebral ischemia, with attention to tissue response after restricted blood flow
- Expression of neurotrophic factors, particularly brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), in rodent brain tissue
- Behavioral and learning tasks in laboratory animals
- Gene-expression profiling in neural tissue following exposure in experimental settings
These lines of study describe what has been examined in controlled models. They are not evidence of any effect outside the laboratory, and Resolve makes no such claims.

Lot documentation
Available reports describe the samples tested by the issuing laboratory; a match to your stock lot must be documented separately. To review it, match the lot number printed on your vial to the corresponding certificate on our COA / Lab Reports page. If a certificate you need is not posted yet, reach out with the product name and lot and our team will follow up.
Why researchers choose Resolve
Resolve BioLabs keeps its catalog simple to read: one compound, one stated quantity, one format per listing. The 10 mg vial gives a single, clearly labeled starting amount, which keeps calculations straightforward when planning concentrations for a study series. Science today. A brighter tomorrow.
Research use only. This material is sold strictly for in-vitro and laboratory research and is not for human or animal use.
