Description
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide that activates the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) to trigger growth hormone release. It is best known in research for its selectivity. Resolve BioLabs supplies ipamorelin as lyophilized powder in 5 mg and 10 mg vials.
What is Ipamorelin?
Ipamorelin was developed by Novo Nordisk in the 1990s as part of the growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) family that also includes GHRP-2 and GHRP-6. What set it apart in the original characterisation studies was that it released growth hormone without the notable rises in ACTH and cortisol seen with earlier GHRPs — which is why it became the go-to selective secretagogue in research.

Research background
Ipamorelin is used to study the ghrelin-receptor arm of growth hormone regulation. Because GHRH analogs and ghrelin mimetics act on different pituitary receptors, laboratories frequently pair ipamorelin with CJC-1295 no DAC or sermorelin to examine how the two signals interact. It has also been investigated clinically in postoperative ileus (gut motility), an application that did not progress to approval.
Format, storage and handling
Keep the unopened vial sealed and protected from light and moisture. Follow the temperature instructions on the product label. After preparing a solution, follow your laboratory’s validated storage protocol.
Testing and documentation
Available reports describe the samples tested. Match the compound, format, strength and lot identifier with your supplied label; a supplier report does not by itself verify current stock. See the report library.

Ipamorelin FAQ
Why is ipamorelin often studied with CJC-1295?
They act on different receptors — ipamorelin on the ghrelin receptor, CJC-1295 on the GHRH receptor — so researchers use the pair to study combined signalling.
What makes ipamorelin “selective”?
In its original studies it stimulated growth hormone release without significant increases in ACTH or cortisol, unlike earlier GHRPs.
Is ipamorelin FDA approved?
No. It is sold for laboratory research use only.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Not a drug, food, cosmetic or dietary supplement, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
