Description
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, oxidised form) is a coenzyme present in every living cell, central to energy metabolism and a substrate for sirtuin and PARP enzymes. Resolve BioLabs supplies NAD+ as lyophilized powder in 100 mg, 500 mg and 1000 mg vials.
What is NAD+?
NAD+ is not a peptide — it is a dinucleotide made of two nucleotides (one containing adenine, one containing nicotinamide) joined through their phosphate groups. It cycles between an oxidised form (NAD+) and a reduced form (NADH) as it carries electrons in glycolysis, the citric-acid cycle and oxidative phosphorylation. Cells make it from dietary precursors such as nicotinamide, nicotinic acid, NR and NMN.

Research background
NAD+ research spans cellular energy metabolism, DNA repair (as the substrate of PARP enzymes), sirtuin activity and gene regulation, and CD38-mediated NAD+ decline. Multiple studies report that tissue NAD+ levels fall with age in animal models, which has made NAD+ and its precursors a major focus of ageing and mitochondrial research.
Format, storage and handling
Keep the unopened vial sealed and protected from light and moisture. Follow the temperature instructions on the product label. After preparing a solution, follow your laboratory’s validated storage protocol.
Testing and documentation
Available reports describe the samples tested. Match the compound, format, strength and lot identifier with your supplied label; a supplier report does not by itself verify current stock. See the report library.
Related research compounds

NAD+ FAQ
Is NAD+ a peptide?
No. NAD+ is a coenzyme made of two nucleotides. It is sold alongside peptides because it is used in related metabolic and ageing research.
What is the difference between NAD+ and NADH?
NAD+ is the oxidised form that accepts electrons; NADH is the reduced form that carries them.
Which size should I choose?
The mg figure is total NAD+ per vial. Larger vials suit larger-volume study designs.
