Description
Selank, also catalogued as TP-7, is a synthetic heptapeptide built by extending the natural immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail for stability. Resolve BioLabs supplies Selank as lyophilized powder in 5 mg and 10 mg vials.
What is Selank?
Selank was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) is a short fragment of immunoglobulin G; on its own it breaks down within minutes. Adding Pro-Gly-Pro to the end made the peptide far more stable — the same design approach used for its sister compound Semax. Selank is registered in Russia but is not approved by the FDA or EMA.

Research background
Selank research, much of it published in Russian journals, examines anxiety-related behaviour in rodent models, effects on GABAergic signalling and the expression of GABA-related genes, modulation of enkephalin-degrading enzymes, and immune markers such as interleukin-6 expression. Western replication is limited, so it is best regarded as an early-stage research compound.
Format, storage and handling
Keep the unopened vial sealed and protected from light and moisture. Follow the temperature instructions on the product label. After preparing a solution, follow your laboratory’s validated storage protocol.
Testing and documentation
Available reports describe the samples tested. Match the compound, format, strength and lot identifier with your supplied label; a supplier report does not by itself verify current stock. See the report library.
Related research compounds
Also available as Selank TP-7 liquid spray (40 mg per 30 mL). Sister peptide: Semax liquid spray. Reconstitute vials with bacteriostatic water.
Selank FAQ
What is TP-7?
TP-7 is another catalogue name for Selank, referring to its seven-amino-acid length.
How is Selank related to Semax?
Both were developed by the same Russian institute and both use a Pro-Gly-Pro tail to stabilise a short natural peptide — tuftsin for Selank, an ACTH fragment for Semax.
Vial or spray?
The vial is lyophilized powder for reconstitution; the spray is a ready-to-use liquid. The active peptide is the same.
